What is machine vision? Machine vision is to use machines instead of human eyes to measure and judge. Machine vision system is to convert the object to image signal through machine vision products (i.e. image capturing device, which is divided into CMOS and CCD) and transmit it to a special image processing system, so as to obtain the shape information of the object, and convert it to digital signal according to the pixel distribution, color, brightness and other information; the image system performs various operations on these signals to extract the object According to the characteristics of the object, the equipment action on site can be controlled according to the result of the judgment. In general, machine vision is a branch of artificial intelligence which is developing rapidly.

Machine vision system workflow:

1. The workpiece positioning detector detects that the object has moved to the center of vision close to the camera system, and sends the trigger pulse to the image acquisition part.

2. The image acquisition part sends start pulses to the camera and lighting system respectively according to the preset program and delay.

3. The camera stops the current scanning and starts a new frame scanning again, or the camera is in a waiting state before the start pulse arrives, and starts a frame scanning after the start pulse arrives.

4. Open the exposure mechanism before the camera starts a new frame scanning, and the exposure time can be set in advance.

5. Another starting pulse turns on the lighting, and the lighting on time should match the exposure time of the camera.

6. After the camera is exposed, the scanning and output of a frame of image is officially started.

7. The image acquisition part receives the analog video signal and digitizes it through a / D, or directly receives the digital video data after the camera digitization.

8. The image acquisition part stores the digital image in the memory of the processor or computer.

9. The processor processes, analyzes and recognizes the image to obtain the measurement result or logic control value.

10. The processing results control the action of the assembly line, position and correct the error of the movement.

Machine vision system is a highly integrated optical electromechanical computer system, its performance is not only determined by a certain factor, every step is very important.
